I didn't read the articles, but the summary at least contains nothing new. Its been known from very early on in the saga that Boeing intentionally did that and why they did. The email evidence it's self might be new but the knowledge as such isn't.

Boeing corporate culture became infected with a cancerous rot when they merged with McDonnell Douglas and moved the headquarters to Chicago. Now thousands and thousands of good paying American jobs are on the line because of poor leadership and a plane designed by the accounting department.
