MIT admits it made ’mistakes’ by taking Epstein donations

Top MIT officials admitted they ’made significant mistakes of judgment’ by taking nearly $850,000 in donations from Jeffrey Epstein. This comes as MIT asked law firm Goodwin Proctor to conduct a review to ’understand the origins, nature and extent of Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to MIT’. The report found that President Reif ’was not involved’ and ’had little knowledge’ of MIT’s acceptance of the gifts.

Pretty much about what you would expect. A professor was getting money from Epstein to fund his lab and apparently lacked that pesky ethical sense, so he kept trying to hide the source of the money from MIT. Real shame about Stahlman though; nobody likes being told the truth. He shouldn't have resigned.
