Lawmakers express doubts over assertions of ’imminent threat’ from Iran

Lawmakers from the Democratic Party (and a few from the Republican Party, too) slammed President Trump regarding the strike that killed General Qassem Soleimani. Chris Murphy, a Democratic Senator said that evidence regarding an ’imminent, specific’ threat was not provided to lawmakers by the Trump administration. Republican Senator Mike Lee also criticized the President on similar lines.

He killed an American. Organized an attempted “benghazing” of our embassy. Pretty sure that’s justified.

Good, hold the executives to account on wide ranging power. Congress has needed to dial that back for 20 years. If it takes a second Trump term for them to put real lasting clamps on executive power, its got my vote.

Let's not forget obozo drone striked a US citizen. Which I'm glad he did at the same time was completely illegal and unconstitutional and did not get congressional approval either. Simple solution find a bad guy kill a bad guy. Clinton blew it when we could have snuffed out Bin Laden in the 90's we had him targeted and he didn't let special forces take him out
