Australian prime minister’s approval rating singed by bushfires

Scott Morrison has suffered a massive hit to his personal approval rating and been overtaken as preferred prime minister by Anthony Albanese in the first opinion poll of 2020. The Newspoll survey showed 59 percent of Australian voters are dissatisfied with his performance overall, and only 37 percent were satisfied. Morrison has come under attack for being slow to respond to the bushfires crisis.
