Koalas, wallabies endangered by Australian bushfires

Calling the devastating fire crisis engulfing the country ’an ecological disaster’, the Australian government is committing A$50 million ($34.58 million) for an emergency wildlife recovery program. Billions of animals, including livestock and pets, have died in the blazes or face risk of survival. Efforts are being made to save the iconic koalas and wallabies especially endangered by the flames.
