Warren sees path to cancel student loan debt without Congress

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Tuesday that, if elected to the White House, she would on the first day of her presidency cancel federal student loan debt by using the Department of Education’s pre-existing authority. Warren said that by doing so she would not need to wait for Congress. Warren previously called for the cancellation of up to $50,000 in student loan debt for each of the borrowers.

I'll live with my loan debt, thanks. When you're signing up for the loans they make it abundantly clear how much it's going to cost you, so anyone saying otherwise either didn't apply on their own, or is lying.

Does this mean that I should start defaulting on my student loans right now? Also, fuck, I should have taken out the max allowed instead of working!
