Jeff Bezos heads to India as Amazon faces waves of protest

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is heading to India for the company’s annual ’Smbhav’ event in New Delhi. His arrival has led to The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), which comprises of 70 million traders and 40,000 trade associations, to organize a nationwide protest across 300 cities. A billion from him, a billion from Merkel. It's almost like the country is up for Sale.

Yes, big companies come in with heavy discounts and undercut the little guy. That's commercialism. The only way a smaller company can survive is to offer something the multinationals can't: A personal connection. Friendly atmosphere and a charismatic guy on the front desk. Some people will pay more if they trust the person they're dealing with is determined to help them. Old people especially would prefer a laid back approach and not some teenager working on commission, or an algorithm, trying to sell them something. Get more in touch with the local community, earn trust, and they will repay you with their business.
