NASA conducts another all-female spacewalk for battery work

Two female NASA astronauts ventured out Wednesday on a second all-female spacewalk to finish upgrades to the ISS’s power grid. This was the second pairing of Jessica Meir and Christina Koch for a spacewalk. However, helmet trouble put the spacewalkers behind in their work - Koch’s helmet camera and lights came loose. Koch is three weeks away from ending an 11-month space mission.

How long till an all black spacewalk?! An all trans spacewalk?! An all undocumented immigrant spacewalk?! Why do NASA have to be such bigots?! There should be pony-kin up there and equal representation!

When you care about who is doing a job, and that is based solely on race or gender, that makes you inherently bigoted towards someone. Good job showing everyone your bigotry, NASA! Edit: Replaced Media with NASA.

Who cares. I dobt care if their male or female; just that they can do the job.

All-female is more equal than 50% female in 2020.

Why though? I have absolutely no issue with women doing this. Even all women if that's how it works out. But why *especially* all women? Look for the best candidates for this. Quotas are dangerous in this line of work.

Did NASA just assume their genders? Did NASA even ask for pronouns?

We are never going to run out of "historic first" all female events. Please stop pretending women doing stuff eighty bazillion men and nearly as many women have already done is empowering or interesting. That's demeaning and stupid to presume that an all female crew would make a difference in the doing of most mundane, traditionally male chores; especially in the weightless vacuum of space.

Im disappointed the biggots at Nasa still haven't planned an all disabled crew for a spacewalk yet.

Astronauts get their work done as normal but press makes a big deal out of it because the press is sexist.

this summary and article is just written as click bate. when it says an all women team they mean 2 people. it makes you think a large squad of people who are chosen only because they are women to do a job. except it really is just a routine thing done by who ever was there which just happened to be 2 women. by doing this they just want you to click the article for the ad revenue at any means necessary.

Leave them stranded up there. If they manage to make it back only then will I be impressed.
