Trump order allowing states to bar refugees halted by US judge

A federal judge from the United States overruled an executive order by President Trump that mandated resettlement of refugees in a state only after getting a go-ahead from state and local officials. A coalition of refugee resettlement groups had filed a lawsuit in November in an attempt to block the executive order which was signed by the President in September.

Seems like state rights should prevail. After all it is their land, infrastructure, and economy that get impacted.

States rights can not exceed us constitutional. Rights of people... N thats the crux to be further adjudicated by an appeal... It's the process... That's y u have mitch stacking the courts for u to get outcomes desired inspite of the constitution.... It's just a meaningless hunk of paper right..
