Virginia Supreme Court upholds weapons ban for pro-gun rally

Virginia Supreme Court upholds weapons ban for pro-gun rally, rejecting appeal from gun-rights groups. The ban was declared by Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam in the area around the state Capitol in Richmond after he says law enforcement received multiple credible threats of violence by militias and extremists groups planning to attend the rally. The ban runs from 5 p.m. Friday until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The fake news "Democrats’ push to stiffen the state’s gun laws" There is ONE and only ONE gun law in the US: A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I guess the Judge cant read.

I'm not American, never seen a gun, not interested. However, Americans have rights and one of those is to own firearms. The law/rule ,at least in part, is to stop governments from being tyrannical, as far as I understand it. This seems like it's asking for trouble and may not end well.

It's laughable to think gun-toting civilians would stand a chance if the government decided to use our military to establish totalitarian rule.

And when they are outnumbered 10 to 1 by armed citizenry who say "no." What are they going to do about it? Commit suicide?
