Row over ’white models in cornrow wigs’

Fashion house Comme des Garçons has been accused of cultural appropriation, after it depicted white models wearing wigs of what appeared to be traditional black people’s hairstyles during a recent show. Industry watchdog Diet Prada said the brand had put ’white models in cornrow wigs’. Julien d’Ys, the hair stylist for the show, has since apologized on Instagram for the move.

If this is cultural appropriation, then what do they call black people wearing western clothes, using western technology, speaking western languages, using western medicine, being in western countrys. Seriously, wanna talk shit about this stuff and we can do this all day....

These PC rules seem to be impossible to follow, by design: sorry, this hairstyle has been already appropriated. Tag, you're it.
