Hundreds of US-bound migrants cross river to reach Mexico

Mexican security forces clashed with determined Central American migrants as they waded across a river in Guatemala into Mexico on Monday to continue their journey to the US. The migrants, mainly from Honduras, took to the water after being refused permission to cross a bridge over the Suchiate river. Mexico has cut off migration routes to the US under pressure from President Trump.

Sounds like Mexican authorities still blocked most of them from the Mexican shore of the river. Hopefully this resistance will discourage others from trying to from this caravans.
