Joe Biden: ’I don’t count drunk driving as a felony’

Joe Biden said Monday that ’I don’t count drunk driving as a felony’, and ’would not seek to deport drunk driving illegal migrants’. He also said that Immigration agents should ’only arrest for the purpose of dealing with a felony that’s committed in the US’. A first offense of drunk driving is considered a misdemeanor in most of the US, repeated offenses can warrant a felony charge.

Just when you think Biden can't possibly make himself look worse, he finds a way. Does he even want to run? Is he trying to sabotage himself? That's the only explanation I can come up with.

Actually in most US jurisdictions 1st offence DUI/DWI is a misdemeanor. Some states allow it to be 'mitigated' with some sort of counseling and addiction meetings, e.g. AA -- so no jail. Felony DUI, on the other hand, would be multiple offenses or DUI resulting in a serious injury. Definitely not someone you give more chances to... or keep in your country if you don't need to.

Doesn't matter if you do it not Joe, the law says it is.
