World Court to rule on emergency measures for Rohingya

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is expected to deliver an initial verdict on Thursday in a genocide case filed against Myanmar for killing and raping Rohingya. More than 730,000 Muslim Rohingya fled an army offensive in Myanmar. Only preliminary hearings have been held but Gambia has asked the court for urgent, temporary protective measures, including an immediate halt to the violence.
