’Monty Python’ star Terry Jones dead at 77

Terry Jones, founding member of Monty Python and comedian, screenwriter, film director, poet, historian and author, has died at 77. He had been suffering from dementia, leaving him unable to speak. Jones is remembered for his depiction of Sir Bedivere and of middle-aged housewives, and also for his passionate heart, good-natured enthusiasm, and intelligence across many subjects.
