Coronavirus: China bans tourists from leaving Wuhan

China has reportedly banned tourist groups from leaving Wuhan, where the coronovirus was first detected, in a bid to contain the spread of the contagion. Authorities are randomly checking vehicles driving out of the city to try and identify if more people have picked up the virus. Government is also bracing for the Chinese new year on 25 Jan when hundreds of millions of people use mass transit.

Visit lovely Wuhan, they said. You'll like it here so much, you wouldn't wanna leave.

well at least they are doing something, than just covering up. hopefully this is not as bad as expected, and this is dry run. we have to acknowledge when they try to behave responsibly.

Too late, people already went to all parts of China and even overseas with the virus weeks before. Typical commies trying to save their arses therefore subdue information from their superiors, making the situation far worse than it is.
