NYC councilman aims to give non-citizens voting rights in municipal elections

A New York City councilman has proposed legislation which, if enacted, would allow non-citizens to vote. Only those who are legal residents or who have a work visa would gain voting privileges. Those who gain the ability to vote would only be able to vote in municipal elections.

Voting is a practically sacred right that is, and should remain, exclusive to citizens.

Huh. I SWEAR this is what the Left has denied they were going to do, yet, here we are. I wonder why they are trying to give <strike> illegal aliens </strike> non-citizens the vote? Are they facing actual political competition?

Non-citizens of a country have no business with politics in said country. How is this a difficult concept?

If they need influence then set up their own council to lobby for their needs but no way should the vote be given... To them... It's a full own corruption of the rights granted to any citizen to vote n then where does it stop
