Brexit officially becomes law after Queen signs off

Brexit was finally passed into law Thursday with royal assent from Queen Elizabeth II — leaving the UK set to finally leave the European Union next week. The EU’s top officials are expected to sign the agreement in coming days. The UK will officially leave the bloc at 23:00 GMT on 31 January - more than three and a half years after the country voted for Brexit in a referendum in June 2016.

Good. The EU lacks the appropriate foundations to be an equitable empire.

EU will be stronger without disruptive UK, and the trade deal will hurt UK far more than EU, *unless* BOJO backs down on his positions. EU will make zero compromises on its core rules for a single country. It will be fun watching the Brexiteers whine when they realise that there's no one following them and the queue to join EU continues to expand. Now the real work begins; until at least December, the UK is a 'rule taker' and continues to abide by EU rules until a trade deal is agreed, with zero say in their creation.
