Replace rather than scrap Iran nuclear deal, suggest European leaders

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has become the latest European leader warning against prematurely scrapping an international nuclear deal with Iran. Speaking at the WEF in Davos, Merkel said it would be wrong to abandon an ’imperfect’ deal with nothing better in place. Earlier this week, Boris Johnson suggested having an alternate deal in place to replace the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Why would they do that when Trumpy has shown that a treaty is worthless while he is around? If the idea is to get the process started so that next year, when Trumpy is gone, Iran will sign on then that is fair enough. Athough it might be a moot point by then once Iran announces the completion of their nuclear arsenal
