In an effort to tackle the outbreak of Coronavirus, the Chinese city of Wuhan has begun the ambitious task of building a 1,000-bed hospital in just six days to treat victims. To speed construction, the hospital is being built with prefabricated buildings on the outskirts of the city. Previously, in 2003, during the SARS outbreak, workers in Beijing built a hospital in just a week.
The concrete will hardly be set in 6 days, believe me as someone who's worked in the slab and form work industry, it will take 6 days just to lay the basement and first floor walls. But then again this is china....
They can do this. They are not pouring concrete on site or otherwise engaging in anything extraneous for the goal of a 1000 bed hospital. It doesn't have to be vertical.
that's quite intense
