Video game company urges players to avoid Plague Inc. for info on coronavirus

The game Plague Inc., which lets you simulate a global pandemic, has been exploding in popularity ever since the coronavirus outbreak in China made headlines. However, the game’s developer are warning people to seek information on the disease from official sources, rather than relying on its game. The company linked to a page from the WHO with information about coronavirus.

No, but it's more trustworthy than the Chinese government.

Getting the feeling that the world isn't taking this as seriously as they should and a lot more people are going to die as a consequence

No shit Sherlock. It does not make you an expert but it does give you an understanding about how easily diseases can spread and the dangers associated with it.

no it doesn't make anyone an expert, but the developers did say they tried to make it realistic in way of spread and reaction to the disease. That and Gen X and millennials are known to have a dark sense of humour to deal with the bullshit we are fed. it makes for great entertainment. *edit: yes a silly name is mandatory I have done winne the flu a few times in the last week.
