Democrats and Republicans argue over need for witnesses at impeachment trial

Members of the Democratic and Republican parties argued over the need to call witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Senator James Lankford hit out at the Democratic Party and said that the Democratic demand for witnesses at the trial was a ’ploy’ to ’slow’ the impeachment process.

CSpan videos are very clear that the Democrats have absolutely no desire to actually engage in the trial, they are just repeating the same motions and amendments over and over and over.

I’m thinking it’s all about prolonging it now and bonus points if they can find something else to latch on to. Like I said back in 2016, The Dems will keep this up all the way to the next election. I just thought it would be Russia but that ran out of steam. I think it’s all about the optics. The actual removal likely was never expected. Apparently it’s what the do for every Republican POTUS only this time they’re going a lot harder. Anyways, just some thoughts I can’t prove.

And as long as they do the real truth will continue to be effectively and completely hidden.

Loved Lankfords new view as to it is perfectly fine for Rudy to go about to foreign govs for research info on opponents as he is acting as as a member of trump campaign.... That was an amazing on air admission.... That's now his view as to acceptable...

Why weren't all relevant witnesses called during the inquiry when they had total control of the preceding? What's that they didn't want to put the matter of certain witnesses before the courts to rule but they want the Senate to go around the courts for them. Seems lagit. Call them all or call non, but from what I have heard about "overwhelming evidence" I surprised they feel they need more witnesses.
