Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu indicted but can remain in office

Israel’s attorney general submitted an indictment against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over three corruption cases. The move came after Netanyahu withdrew his request for immunity from prosecution. There is an election on March 2. Trial dates have not been set and appear likely to be after the election. Netanyahu can serve as PM unless and until he is convicted and has exhausted any appeals.
