Google aims to unify its workplace tools and messaging apps into one service

Google is reportedly working on a mobile application for businesses that brings together the functions of several apps the company already offers, including Gmail and Drive. The new mobile app also includes Hangouts Meet, Google’s video conferencing app and Hangouts Chat, a real-time message app. Effectively, it’d serve as a more direct rival to office messaging apps like Slack and Microsoft Teams
