Harvard professor arrested for allegedly lying about ties to China

The U.S. Department of Justice charged a Harvard University professor with lying about money received from the Chinese government, part of the U.S. government’s effort to prosecute theft of American trade secrets. Charles Lieber, chair of the Department of Chemistry at Harvard, was arrested Tuesday on accusations that he failed to disclose that he had been paid more than $1.5 million by China.
