US-based VoIP carriers hit by DoJ lawsuits

As the US continues efforts to curb robocalls, the DOJ has taken its first ever enforcement action against a handful of companies involved in massive robocall schemes. The agency revealed that it is seeking temporary restraining orders against five Voice over Internet Protocol carriers from New York and Arizona. As per the DOJ, the VoIP services serve as the entry point for foreign-made calls.
