Global dissatisfaction with democracy ’at record high’

As per researchers from Cambridge University, dissatisfaction with democracy within developed countries is at its highest level in almost 25 years. Researchers analyzed the political sentiment of more than 4 million people, using data from projects that covered 154 countries between 1995 and 2020. The UK, US, Australia had particularly high levels of discontent.

Maybe it's because we live in a "false democracy" run by global corporations, unions and special interests?

I would like to point out that some of the articles state that the Nordic countries, Sweden, Netherlands, ect. all still have very high views of democracy. They are social democracies, which I argue is a higher form of democracy and capitalism. However, here in the US we just call it "socialism" and fight against our own self interest.

It says in the article they analyzed over four million surveys. This may sound like a large dataset, but supposedly this is a world-wide survey. However an estimated 40% of the world's population has a democratic government. This accounts for 2.8 billion people. In other words, they surveyed 0.14% of the democratic population. It's the equivalent of knowing 10,000 are forced to eat vegetables, and asking 14 of them how satisfied they are with it. This may be the biggest analysis of government satisfaction thus far, but come on...
