Jack Ma donates $14 million for coronavirus vaccine

Jack Ma, China’s richest man, has donated $14 million to aid efforts for developing a vaccine for the deadly coronavirus which has killed more than 100 people. $5.8 million of the donations will go to two Chinese government research organizations, while the remaining funds will be for supporting ’prevention and treatment’ efforts.

It should be the policy of every nation to fully fund organizations and individuals who a) show initial success at developing a technology or medical breakthrough that will greatly benefit the world, and b) sign a legally-binding contract that promises the end product will be distributed globally for no profit.
