Portion of US border wall in California falls over on Mexican side

Newly installed panels from the US border wall fell on the Mexican side of the border due to high winds on Wednesday. The area is part of an ongoing construction project to improve existing sections of the wall. A border agent said the sections that gave way had recently been set in a new concrete foundation. The concrete had not yet cured and the panels were unable to withstand the wind.

I work with concrete for a living. It takes about 28 days for the concrete to set and harden properly. The people who drew the plans most likely didn't take such high winds for this time period into consideration.

The story (non-story) says this section was recently constructed, the concrete hadn't cured yet, and it's not surprising since the reinforcement that the next section would have provided wasn't there yet. This is like "telephone pole falls over when hit by cement truck."

I doubt it would have fallen over if it had been built properly. Stop messing with the funding,so it can be done properly.

considering we are allowing free flow of people landing from China still , this is the least of our worries. San Francisco airport arrivals. https://youtu.be/lSb2jjGXimo

The media knows there is nothing of substance here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they found a random person and asked them for comment. Sample answer: “Oh, I heard what sounded like a wall fall over.” Reporter: “Wow, what an incredible discovery folks! Be careful of these darn borderwalls!”

I doubt that they wouldn't take winds into consideration. There's most likely an explanation for this.
