Uighur woman uses social media to raise awareness of Chinese camp detainees

A Uighur woman in Boston is making use of social media to raise awareness about the plight of people, including her father, held in camps in China’s Xinjiang region. Samira Imin’s father has been held in the so-called re-education camp for two years. Her father was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for a book he published. ’I’m active on social media to ask for freedom and justice’, she says.
