The National Science Foundation’s Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope has delivered the first look at the sun’s surface with never-before-seen detail. The highest-resolution image of the sun’s surface captures features as small as 18 miles across, visible for the first time.

Not just that the sun also has magnetic properties but that it's electromagnetic on a fundamental level and the earth, and other bodies in the solar system, are part of a circuit. The same principle likely applies on the galactic level also.
