Arvind Krishna will replace Ginni Rometty as IBM CEO in April

IBM announced Thursday that senior vice president for Cloud and Cognitive Software Arvind Krishna, 57, will replace current CEO Ginni Rometty, 62, on 6 April. Jim Whitehurst, the Red Hat CEO who many thought would take over for Rometty, will become IBM’s president. IBM shares jumped 5% after the news was announced.
