Lamar Alexander says he’ll vote against witnesses in Trump impeachment trial

Republican Senator Lamar Alexander said late Thursday night that he would vote against a motion to hear additional witnesses in the impeachment trial of President Trump. Without Alexander, Democrats don’t have the pivotal fourth vote they need to reach a 51-vote simple majority that’s required to approve motions for witnesses.

Thank you sir for following the rule of law. The Dems presented an air tight case in there opinion. They were able to conclude based on the facts gathered in the house that the case should proceed and so we rule based on the case presented in the file. This is the correct process.

The right n left will spin this.. But frankly it's wise n on point.. He listened.. He like many of us out there believe yes article one is proved.. Censure was what should have occurred at the house level.... Article two no... Not proven due to technical errors by house majority.... And a split the vote on the articles is most likely the proper check on the president....
