Mike Bloomberg unveils $5 trillion tax plan

Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg released a tax plan Saturday that seeks to collect $5 trillion over a decade by increasing taxes on the wealthy. The plan proposes: rolling back Trump’s corporate tax cuts; a new 5% surtax on incomes above $5 million a year; taxes on capital gains; lowering the threshold for the estate tax; and restoring top rates back to the Obama-era 39.6%.

Why can’t there be a flat tax rate for everyone. I’m in favour of closing loopholes, but progressive tax is only punishing people for their hard work and success.

THat is yet another campaign promise you know Bloomberg will never keep. Fortunately Trump has raised the bar on keeping your promises. In my 1/2 century of following politics I have NEVER seen anyone keep so many campaign promises. Add the right to try new meds for terminal patients, the veterans benefits, the raises for our military, Prison reform is all icing on the cake

I’m in favor of this tax plan “By the way, when I say cut taxes, I don't mean fiddle with the code. I mean abolish the income tax and the IRS, and replace them with nothing.” Ron Paul
