I have an ambivalent reaction to these headlines. I feel compassion for the victims, contempt for the perpetrators. From a purely policy position, in the abstract, I see the lack of efficacy of gun control. IL and CA are two of the most strigent states. If taking away peoples' rights can't prevent these tragedies, then what's the point?
