Iran and Israel suspected of exploiting Twitter phone number security flaw

Twitter said that it had discovered attempts by possible state actors to access the phone numbers associated with user accounts. The breach came to light after a security researcher found a flaw in the ’contacts upload’ feature. The company says that after suspending the first set of fake accounts it found more. Most of those additional accounts were located from Iran, Israel and Malaysia.
