Huawei, ZTE asks FCC to drop national security risk label

Chinese telecom companies Huawei and ZTE on Monday asked the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) not to finalize its designation of the tech giants as risks to US national security. In November, the FCC voted 5-0 to initially designate Huawei and ZTE as national security risks. Huawei called the effort ’unlawful and misguided’.
