Kenya’s former president Daniel Arap Moi dies at 95

Kenya’s former president Daniel arap Moi, who ruled for over 20 years, has died. He was 95. Moi came to power in 1978, upon the death of President Jomo Kenyatta, having been vice-president until then. He was credited with keeping Kenya relatively stable compared with many of its troubled neighbors, working for regional peace. However, he floundered on the economy and failed to tackle poverty.
