Rand Paul reads alleged whistleblower’s name on Senate floor

Rand Paul gave the name of the alleged Ukraine whistleblower while speaking on the Senate floor, after earlier being blocked from doing so. Paul uttered the name in a question that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts had earlier declined to read as the presiding officer of the trial. ’My question did not accuse anybody of being a whistleblower. I simply named two people’s names’, he said.

Eric's name had been known. He wasn't blowing any whistles

Certainly a head scratcher that people who supposedly don't know the identity of the so-called whistleblower are so protective of one specific name.

“The greatest whistleblower in American history, in all likelihood, was Edward Snowden,” he said, naming the former CIA contractor now living in exile in Russia after leaking massive amounts of information about the National Security Agency’s surveillance methods. (The fact that Snowden is in exile, rather than working a cushy Washington job, is a pretty good indication that his move wasn’t nearly as popular as that of the “whistleblower” who helped Democrats attack Trump.) “I’m not for retributions on the whistleblower,” Paul said. “I don’t want him to go to jail, I don’t want him to lose his job." “But if six people who all worked together at the National Security Council knew each other and gamed the system, knowing that they would get these protections, they gamed the system in order to bring down the president, we should know about that."

Key word alleged. He has no proof and simply has questions for a material witness.

Hey. Douchebag. The whistleblower claim was deemed credible and urgent by the REPUBLICAN Inspector general. What would having the whistelblower testify accomplish? Seriously anyone?

Why should anyone be surprised. This is what Traitor Trump's comrades do. They just follow his lead and think they are above the and get away with anything they do. If I lived in Kentucky, I sure wouldn't be proud of either of the two Senators they have representing them. I'd be thinking, what do the rest of the States think about Kentucky and how can we change our image. He's a suggestion - vote them out of office so they can no longer disgrace you!!

Despicable! This preening wimp from Kentucky knows full well that he is breaking federal law by disclosing the whistleblower's name!

The whistleblower is like an anonymous 911 caller. when the cops arrive and interview witnesses and find evidence, knowing who the original anonymous caller is irrelevant. trump has admitted everything the whistleblower and subsequent witnesses said was true and has moved the goal posts to the next stage. people who are still focusing on the whistleblower are just trying to distract.

Dear God these TDS freaks are beyond help. Paul's a criminal, Moscow Mitch, Putin, all these adorable conspiracy theories as they project their tantrums and coupde'tat. It's for the best, the more they expose their pathological hate for the republic and willingess to burn it, the faster they become a political irrelevancy.
