ER doctor confronts Mike Pence over Medicaid cuts

Rob Davidson, an ER doctor, confronted VP Pence last week about the administration’s ’damaging health care cuts’. The encounter, posted to Twitter by Davidson, took place at the Drake Diner in Des Moines, Iowa. ’When I told him he is putting my patients’ lives at risk, @VP deflected and denied knowledge of the policy. He either doesn’t understand, or doesn’t care’, Davidson wrote.

I've a simple answer, privatize it through insurance agencies. Get it out of government hands

Pence was not ready for that and he got schooled.

Way to blind side someone on a policy they hadn't reviewed. The simple answer Pence needed to give was government subsidies have consistently increased the cost of healthcare for the consumer. This is a measure to remove the negative influence on the healthcare market that artificial government manipulation causes. Hopefully in the future we can work to continue to reduce the negative impact that subsidies and regulations have created by removing more of the influence government has on healthcare pricing. Although I doubt that will actually happen after I saw government again dabbling in prices fixing on insulin after it was the government that created the issue to begin with by first picking the winner in it's manufacturing and giving exclusive rights to production then gets angry after the government kills market competition and prices rise. STAY OUT OF BUSINESS AND LET THE MARKETS SET THE PRICE! If we did that multiple insulin manufacturers would be able to compete and prices would naturally fall to an acceptable profit margin.
