Aurora Cannabis to take CAD 1 billion in charges, cuts 500 jobs

Aurora Cannabis said CEO Terry Booth will retire and Executive Chairman Michael Singer become interim CEO as the marijuana producer announced CAD 1 billion in impairment charges on Thursday. The company also cut about 500 jobs. Aurora has begun a formal search for a permanent CEO, Booth said.

I grow my own and have yet to purchase the government supplies. It is over priced and regularly stores run out. I don’t understand why these companies are spending millions if not billions on state of the art facilities when go can grow huge plants with a great yield in manure on your property? Sure I only get one harvest a year, perhaps two, but it’s plenty for me and my friends with whom I barter for things they produce like Moonshine and meat. Doesn’t cost me more than a few dollars of fertilizer and time.
