Pitt takes a shot at the Senate for not letting Bolton testify

Actor Brad Pitt, as he accepted the best supporting actor award at the Oscars, joked about how the Senate voted against allowing witnesses during the impeachment trial. ’They told me I only had 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week’, Pitt said, taking a swipe at the GOP-led Senate for not letting the former NSA to testify.

"Take your little statue and fuck off!" Still applies for the Oscars, just saying.

Looks like Pitt is a fucking retard who wants to grandstand about things he is utterly ignorant on. Sad.

Actors should stick to acting and leave the politics out of the award shows.

Brad Pitt offering everyone advice on politics is like your goldish advising Nasa on a Mars mission rocket calculus.

Damn that's funny. A partisan, unconstitutional hack job by the House puts broken and empty articles of impeachment before the Senate. After the Senate dumps them in the trash heap as they deserved, the lefty's still whine about the witnesses. "If only we could hear Bolton, then everything would make sense...." LMFAO.

Seems that a lot of people are forgetting that we, at least for now, live in a country where free speech is a protected right. Brad Pitt was stating the obvious-- 45 seconds more than a crooked, cowed Senate gave Bolton. Witness the downfall of our democracy, as this country heads to an authoritarian state by an orange turd.

People always seem to say that "actors are stupid and should stick to acting" and "their opinion doesn't matter" when the same thing can be said for anyone, including everyone in the comments.

the same nonsense gibberish by people who arent paying attention. witnesses were allowed, the ones that were voted yes on in the articles. new witnesses werent allowed as they wouldnt have been cross examined like the ones in the hearing.

there's an important subtext here---Bolton's book publisher (Simon and Schuster) is owned by Viacom--who also owns Paramount pictures, a company that's given lots of work to Pitt over the years. (Viacom also owns CBS)
