Philippines’ Duterte orders end to military pact with US

President Rodrigo Duterte has reportedly ordered the termination of a military pact with the US. Duterte ordered to scrap the Visiting Forces Agreement as a response to the US government’s move to cancel Senator Ronald de la Rosa’s tourist visa. The cancellation is believed to be because of allegations of extrajudicial killings during de la Rosa’s term as police chief.

Duterte is making a massive mistake. The US has good relations with the Philippines, he is souring that over a revoked visa for one of his cronies.

He must realize that the only reason China doesn't steamroll them over territorial claims is because their bigger brother America is standing behind them....

U reckon he has seen how the US treats its clients--- although, it is the client states WITH stealable natural resources the US fucks over, and the clients that buy alot of guns that are allowed to get away with war crimes....... So either he isn't planning on buying a shit tonne of weapons, or he just found a shit tonne of gas or diamonds or lithium, and is gonna need Chinese or Russian protection from the upcoming "coup for democracy"
