Denver repeals 30-year-old ban on pit bulls

The Denver City Council on Monday passed a measure to end the city’s 30-year ban on pit bull ownership. Under the new city code, residents may own the breed if they register with Denver Animal Protection and obtain a breed-restricted license, as well as proof of micro chipping, vaccination, neutering or spaying, and a name and address, as well as an annual fee.
