Eat dark chocolate to beat Covid stress: Indian Health Minister

Public health experts have asked the Indian Health Minister to present evidence after he asked people to have dark chocolate with 70 per cent cocoa content to beat Covid-19 related stress. The advice has drawn widespread flak on social media. In February, the same minister was criticized for endorsing an avuryedic tablet to fight Covid-19 without any supporting evidence to that effect.

Actually DARK chocolate is less fattening than the stuff most Westerners think of as "chocolate", and has proven health benefits including stress reduction. Not that any amount of data will calm the COVIDites, who will only see "beat" and "COVID" and presume that the target is suggesting a cure FOR it, rather than a peripheral to make the whole experience more livable. And how dare he try to reduce the harm that the population is feeling from lockdowns. Lockdowns build character. COVID: the great and highly successful experiment in turning humans into mindless Twitter bots.
