Australia admits failings on indigenous equality

Australian PM Scott Morrison said on Wednesday that the country is on track to meet just two of its targets aimed at improving the lives of its Indigenous people. These include increasing life expectancy and improving literacy. Acknowledging the existing policy has failed to ensure equality, Morrison said new policies will be designed following consultation with the country’s first people.
