Smoking breaks could result in deduction in pay in Spain

Spain’s high court has ruled in favor of a company which had stopped paying its employees for smoking breaks. The time spent by workers on smoking was deducted from their working hours by Energy Company Galp in Spain. A coffee or breakfast break is allowed in the company’s policy.

Fair enough. As it stands, non smokers are essentially punished because they don't get to take 10min breaks every hour...

I think it's about time, I choose not to get addicted to nicotine but I'm punished at work cuz smokers get their break while I get to watch their job until they come back; meanwhile I dont get a break unless it's slow
