Pope rules against ordaining married men in Amazon

Pope Francis has declined to approve the ordination of married men to address the priest shortage in the Amazon. The recommendation, put forward by Latin American bishops last year, had alarmed conservatives in the Roman Catholic Church. It is estimated that at least 85% of villages in the Amazon are unable to celebrate Mass each week as a result of a shortage of priests.

Oh, so that's too far for the church? Not the daily jobber jabber from him about how Christianity needs to be reformed. 🙄

It is amazing to me how many people claim to understand Catholic teachings. As an ordained priest, you are married to the Church. You cannot be married to a woman and to the Church.

Who cares what the Pope has to say? Wake up, the Pope is evil, the very idea of the Papacy is blasphemy. No man speaks for God

I'm honestly in shock. Being only a discipline the Pope without even asking could just will the change. He seems the type in fact to force his beliefs upon the church. Many will be happy when he is no longer in power.
