Senate passes resolution limiting Trump’s power to order strikes against Iran

The Senate voted to pass a resolution limiting the president’s power to order military strikes against Iran without the approval of Congress. Eight Republicans joined Democrats to pass the resolution by 55-45. The resolution requires Trump to remove troops who are engaged in hostilities with Iran unless Congress declares war or passes a resolution allowing it. Trump is expected to veto the bill.

Sounds good to me. A President's ability to wage wars without the consent of Congress is something that should of been addressed decades ago.
