UK’s Big Ben more badly damaged by Nazi bombs than thought

The repair bill to fix Big Ben tower has increased by £20m to nearly £80m after it was found out that the damage caused by German bombs during World War Two was more extensive than originally thought. Pollution and asbestos were some other reasons that have caused damage to the 96-meter tower. The refurbishment of the structure is going on since 2017 and is expected to be finished next year.

Forgive me but I call bullshit. They have to have done hundreds of checks on that building since ww2. What damage they find at this point is going to be by someone else's hands. The only way it could be from zanis is if they have had the worst inspectors for the past 60 fuking years.... consecutively....
